Club PRO Notes

25 October 2012

It’s finally here, The Bank Holiday Weekend – Monday 29 October 2012 – and For one Day only, in Cloonacool Community Park comes a game with a difference. A trip down memory lane from a Co Final of old or maybe just good or bad memories from either defeat of victory!! Its part of a novel fundraising event for Cloonacool Community Centre – which closed its doors recently for the next 12 months – as it redevelops for the future. It’s the meeting of old rivals Cloonacool & St Nathy’s in Cloonacool Community Park. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Training has been going well in the past few weeks as a number of players prepare for the weekends action. At stake is the Auld Star Cup for the winners and of course a great chance to re live the days of old. Word has it, just in case there’s a draw, an Angle Grinder is on standby to split the Cup. Throw in time is 3pm. The Club extends sympathy to the family of Betty Burke, formally of Doomore who passed away at the weekend in Enniscrone. Anyone wishing to have notes included is asked to email c.coolnews@gmail.com by Saturday evening.
