Club PRO Notes

24/7/2011

The intermediate team went down to a lively Enniscrone/Kilglass side last Sunday in the intermediate championship on a scoreline of 2-14 to 1-7. The game was played in Bunninadden in excellent conditions. This was the proverbial game of two halves. We led going into half time on a scoreline of 1-5 to 0-6, the goal been an excellent strike from Joseph Neary. The second half was a disappointing one for us where we were outplayed and outscored to send us to defeat. Well done to Damian Sweeney who made his senior debut for the club in this game. Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm. A full attendance is required as we look to get our season back on track. The team have no game next weekend. Our next game is against St. Michaels on Sunday the 7th of August. The under 8 and 10 team played a number of very enjoyable and sporting games at a blitz in Geevagh last Saturday. The players played really and were more than a match for their opponents. Well done to all the boys and girls. Training continues on Saturday mornings at 11am. If anyone wants replica jerseys they can contact Art McCarrick who has a supply of jerseys at hand. The Cloonacool Community Park members draw takes place on Saturday the 13th of August in Brennans.
